Colorectal - Adjuvant Rectal
Intergroup Randomized Phase III Study of Postoperative Oxaliplatin, 5-Fluorouracil and Leucovorin vs Oxaliplatin, 5-Fluorouracil, Leucovorin and Bevacizumab for Patients with Stage II or III Rectal Cancer Receiving Pre-operative Chemoradiation

 

This research study is for patients that have received chemotherapy and radiation therapy prior to their surgery for Stage II or III rectal cancer.  The purpose of the study is to compare the effects of adding an investigational drug (Avastin/bevacizumab) to other chemotherapy agents (5-FU, Oxaliplatin, Leucovorin) after patients with advanced rectal cancer have had pre-operative chemoradiation.
